Mercedes-AMG won the endurance race at the Nürburgring, Germany, but the headlines put DACIA in the spotlight, they said: “DACIA Logan managed to stay in the race until the end”. The car was painted in Voroneț’s stylish blue-green colors, hand-painted by the Ofâlna girls (OnlyFans female bobsleigh team from Câpâlna, Romania). On May 14, 2026, Dacia Logan managed to outclass big names, such as Verstappen’s Mercedes AMG GT3. But what is behind the success of the German team Ollis Garage Racing, which adopted “Dacia fan until death” as its flag bearer?
Who is Ollis Kriese, and how did his team, Ollis Garage Racing, manage to take the Dacia Logan to the heights of endurance at the Nürburgring?
Is the success of the Dacia Logan due to Ollis Kriese and an exchange of experiences in Olt County?
The idea came to Ollis Kriese after a failed exchange of experience at the Mioveni factory, within the assembly division. The initial plan was simple: Kriese had to bring German expertise, and the Romanian assemblers were to come only with the little ones.
The German team was stunned by the way of working in Mioveni, but especially the Olteni spirit of joking. Upon departure, Ollis was left with the “experience”, but was left to pay for all the kermess alone: the little ones, the bacon, the suckling piglets, the beaten cow, the merino sheep, and Romania’s debt. The Romanians brought the good mood – a culture shock for the Germans, who had not seen anyone smile since they were infants.
Thus, together with Dirk Schulte, they ruminate on the idea of forming a meme team, a car repair shop for Romanian cars in Marzahn, a suburb of Berlin.

The Dacia meme team – Ollis Racing company took shape with the hiring of Piszta Andrasj

It was a joke at first, but the joke became real when we were playing in the garage yard when a man was working and, eavesdropping on what we were talking about, asked us:
“Why don’t you put a tovetop sheet metal on this Dacia Logan?“We both rolled our eyes, but we knew that our lives revolved around changing the oil at the restaurant where we worked, plus Schultz’s wife couldn’t stand him coming home smelling like french fries and he would soon be sleeping for good at the Ollis Racing garage.
Ross Brawn-Boiler’s “stop & serve” innovation
When asked why the team had so many pit stops during the 24-hour race, Ollis Racing CEO blamed the marketing and engineering genius of Ross Brawn-Boiler, who came up with the original idea of creating and patenting an on-board fryer oil filtration system.
It’s a unique hybrid system that filters the oil used to fry potatoes and reintroduces it directly into the Logan engine, after which it is recirculated. The result? The legendary Quillase fries quickly became the favorites of the mechanics from all the teams on the Nürburgring circuit. They formed queues at the Dacia pits, declaring themselves absolutely in love with the crispy taste of potatoes with a subtle aroma of piston oil.
Fog on lap 40 of the Nürburgring race and getting stuck on the barricades
Although most teams called their teams to the pits, the Ollis Garage Racing team did not do this, but continued the race. At 60 km/h, nothing can happen, especially if the road is clear. For us, it was a training session, like a trip on the Transfăgărășan, like a picnic when you drive your Dacia into the stream while your friends are having fun and grilling next to you.
The drama of lap 72 and the capitulation of the GT3 cars
A crazy race ensued. Fans in the stands were screaming in ecstasy: “Leave it alone!”, while the legendary Porsche behind desperately flashed the meme-team Dacia Logan, due to thick smoke smelling of donuts and a hot piston coming out from under the hood of the car.
German officials clarified the incident after the race. “We never intended to pass the Logan at that moment. If we had overtaken it, it would have cut our pit potato portion immediately!”, the Porsche and Audi R8 LMS drivers officially declared, with tears in their eyes.
Ollis Kriese is excited about the plans for Ollis Garage Racing
Asked about his team’s plans and other endurance races, Ollis Kriese excitedly confessed to us that he wants to take the project to the next level of absurdity.
We will try to bring back the spirit of Dacia from the communist era to the tracks: the legendary 1210, 1300 and 1310. And, if everything goes well and someone sponsors us by buying our t-shirts, I promise that we will build a racing car out of tin cans! It will be exactly like the Red Bull Soapbox Race, only we will compete with cars made of tin cans in the coming years at the Nürburgring! And if it doesn’t work, we will make a big bonfire out of the car, fry Nuremberg sausages and still have fun!
